[OS X TeX] Duplicate texi* executables on Leopard

It appears that these files which I mentioned at the start of this  
thread

[~]: ls -alT /usr/bin/texi*

-rwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel  102048 24 Sep 04:12:55 2007 /usr/bin/texindex

are installed in standard Leopard regardless of the Developer Tools.

I do not use these a lot but for some things I do  run  LaTeX in batch  
and then I would like to use the stuff that comes with TeXLive.
So it may be an idea that the MacTeX installation package (scripts) do  
some checking for these files in /usr/bin and possibly rename them to  
something harmless to get them out of the way.
