I'm sure you'd know if things had gone wrong, someone on this list is
sure to tell you. As far as I can see, this action cuts all connection
with the thread that message is in, and you're fine that way. Another
option is to choose "new message" from the file menu, and start typing
(TeX on …). Mail will autocomplete for you.
