[OS X TeX] pstricks help

Not sure if this solves your problem, but I was able to successfully compile with this in the header:

\usepackage{pstricks,pst-node,pstricks-add,pst-plot,pst-tree}

I am fairly new to OS X and I am struggling to get some of my old
latex-files to compile.

Many problems were related to my usage of pstricks.  So I tried an
example from the pstricks-manual:

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{pstricks}
\usepackage{pst-node}  % this automatically loads pstricks
\begin{document}
\def\psedge{\nccurve[angleB=180, nodesepB=3pt]}
\pstree[treemode=R, treesep=1.5, levelsep=3.5]%
{\Toval{root}}{\Tr(X} \Tr{Y} \Tr{Z}}

\end{document}

Which fails, like many of the other with

(/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-dist/tex/generic/pstricks/pst-node.tex
v97 patch 11, 2000/11/09)) (./Untitled.aux)
! Undefined control sequence.
l.7 {\Toval
            {root}}{\Tr(X} \Tr{Y} \Tr{Z}}
? ?


What am I missing?

None of the files in the src-directory of pstricks compiles
successfully.
