[OS X TeX] Increasing memory

I followed your instructions and increased main_memory = 10000000, but 
when I ran TeXshop on my file I got the same complaint
! TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [main memory size=1500000] even though 
texmf.cfn has been changed.
Any ideas?
