[OS X TeX] Question about MacTex

Not exactly sure from your message if this is the problem but   you  
should probably not mess with the texmf-dist directory in usr/ 
local2007//texlive.
The place for all your personal files is either in usr/local/texlive/ 
texmf-local OR ~/library/texmf.
Also note that texlive seems to be a little picky about the structure  
of your texmf trees. Make sure the .sty and .bst files are in the  
correct location of your texmf tree.
put your bst files in ~/library/texmf/bibtex/bst
and your sty files in ~/library/texmf/tex/latex
and see if this helps
