Howdy,

For the most part TeX Live is very complete and works fine as is. If  
you're not sure if TeX Live has a certain package assume it does and  
that usually just works! If you find that you need a package that  
doesn't exist or an update to a package because of added features or  
bug fixes ask here and you'll get help.

I'm continually amazed at how complete TeX Live already is and how few  
problems exist between packages. It's not perfect but for a very  
complicated distribution with thousands of files produced by hundreds  
of individuals it comes close.
