[OS X TeX] Installing Lucida fonts under home folder

You will have to update your map files after you update texlive, as  
far as I can see. The pfb files can stay in your home directory (and  
they won't be available to anyone else).

I, and I suspect many here, will need to run a specific set of  
commands after installing texlive, adding fonts, sometimes increasing  
memory sizes, etc. I have gathered my commands in a small file, and  
keep it that way. I would suggest you do the same, because I can  
almost guarantee you that you'll run into this again. This script  
could of course include copying certain map files from your personal  
tree into the texmf-local tree, and then running the sequence given  
before.
