Hi there,

just use the eurosym package like

\usepackage[right]{eurosym}

Then type something like

"I have spent \EUR{100} two days ago."

Hope that helps.

Kind regards,
Christoph

Morning.

What's necessary to typeset an Euro symbol when entering ALT+L on a
German keyboard in the source file?

Years ago I've used a line

\catcode`\€=\active \def€{\euro{}}

in my basic styles file. But this doesn't work since a long time.

TIA and kind regards, Friedrich
