[OS X TeX] problem with \renewcommand{}{\arabic{}}

Thanks : you are right. So frenchle is the problem. I have now to find  
a solution because I need this package. What is strange is that with  
MiKTeX on a PC it works. So it is not frenchle alone that gives the  
problem, but frenchle with MacTeX.
