ThomasRikeMBP1:~ trike$ echo $PATH
/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/
local/bin:/usr/texbin:/usr/X11/bin

No. -bash: /usr/texbin/texdoc: No such file or directory

No. -bash: /usr/local/texlive/2008/bin/universal-darwin/texdoc: No
such file or directory

Listing /usr/local/texlive/2008/bin/universal-darwin shows

...texconfig-sys
    texcount
    texexec ...

with texdoc conspicuously missing. The only place I can find texdoc is
in
/usr/local/texlive/2007/bin/i386-darwin/
where texdoc and texdoctk are sitting between texcount and texexec.
