Here is yet another possibility, which seems to be more flexible:  
scale the tabular environment to make it fit.
You could do something like:

\scalebox{0.75}{%
\begin{tabular}{...}
....
\end{tabular}
}


I tried and it seems to work. You may always chose another scaling  
factor, of course (this is why I think this solution is more  
flexible...)
