[OS X TeX] paragraph spacing question

Hi all!

This command works pretty good for me:

\setlength{\parskip}{0em}

As far as I know, this command obliges LaTeX to keep a space of  
length=0 between paragraphs. I include this command after the  
\maketitle command.
