[OS X TeX] Utopia fonts not found (on 10.5?)

Hi all,

> sudo -s
> echo "/usr/texbin" >>/etc/paths.d/texbin
> exit

This did not work (updmap-sys still not found afterwards). But

sudo env PATH=/usr/texbin:$PATH updmap-sys

worked (thanks, Pete). But ... it did not solve the problem with the  
Utopia fonts not being found. Summarizing all the problems, I suspect  
there is something wrong with the MacTeX distribution on my 10.5  
machine.
