Howdy,

Hmmm... I didn't write those words. The problem is that the function  
was written incorrectly as a literal sqrt(x) rather than using the  
symbolic sqrt (from the drop down menu). If you do that you get the  
correct \sqrt{x}. I agree with the \tfrac.
