Howdy,

A couple of years ago I put together a packaging of the skak package
using the SkakNew type-1 fonts for writing LaTeX documents and using
PGN (Portable Game Notation) style notation.

There is now a new way for chess fonts to be treated using the new
chessfss package along with an updated skak package that uses
chessfss. There are also updated SkakNew fonts that include a second
large diagram font, AlphaDiag. And, finally, there are some additional
packages the use the skak package for producing complex, colored
diagrams, the chessboard and xskak packages.

I've put these together set up for reasonably simple installation in
either gwTeX or MacTeX (Tex Live 2007).

This is available as MacSkakNew.zip at <http://homepage.mac.com/herbs2>.

You might also be interested in a Drop Script that converts PGN games
into LaTeX documents (sorry, not analysis, just the raw games). This
available as DropPgn2Ltx.zip at the same location.

Good Luck,

Herb Schulz
