[OS X TeX] fontbook problem

I recently installed TeXShop 210 from the DVD.  I had no problems with  
it until very recently when I tried to run FontBook, which crashed,  
requiring a restart.  After that, FontBook would quit unexpectedly but  
without the kernel panic.  A little later, I stopped being able to  
show fonts from any application such as Textedit, Pages, or TeXShop.

The only thing I have done differently recently is to use some of the  
Mac fonts within LaTeX.
