The contents of /usr/local/texlive/2007/bin. Which architectures does
it support?

Could be with MacTeX you have in this chaotic /usr/texbin structure
links to an obsolete architecture: PowerPC. Or your PATH points to
empty intel i686 places. Which can come from PowerPC related TeX
elements in /etc/profile and /etc/csh.login. Or did you forget to
update these two files? Then PATH will miss elements.

Only /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local has extensions, it's that what's
worth saving and migrating. It's better you install now MacTeX to
support intel i686. This will also fix /etc/profile and /etc/
csh.login and probably more for Leopard. /usr/local/texlive/texmf-
local (hopefully) will not be touched.

Still on Tiger with PowerPC.
