While I haven't purged my system of Adobe products I'm slowly having  
them die. My old (pre CSx) photoshop no longer works under Leopard.  
Illustrator still does but I don't use it much. I occasionally use  
Adobe Reader (the latest version isn't nearly as intrusive as previous  
versions) but mainly because Leopard's print system sometimes crashes  
with some pdf files using some fonts (see my previous rants) and I can  
still print those files using Reader.

By the way, is there a way for Preview to tell you the fonts used in a  
particular pdf document? I use Adobe Reader for that too. I know I can  
use CLI commands to to do that but it would be nice to have a GUI  
application to do that in its feature set. Hmmm... how about Skim?  
Haven't tried that yet but it probably uses PDFKit so the printing  
problem would still be there.
