There's something a bit odd about this package's documentation, which  
results in TeXLive-2007 having only the German version of the  
documentation.

The documentation comes in two languages: English and German. The  
English version is obtained by LaTeXing labbook.dtx, and contains both  
the user documentation and the implementation details. The German  
version contains the user documentation alone; it is obtained by  
LaTeXing labboode.tex, which is produced when LaTeXing labbook.ins.

Alas, in TeXLive-2007 there's only labboode.tex/dvi in /usr/local/ 
texlive/2007/texmf-dist/doc/latex/labbook, not labbook.dtx.
