[OS X TeX] Signature morphed into attachment

Sorry, perhaps I should've been more precise: I mean that the _list 
signature_,which is automatically appended starting with the lines

etc has morphed into an attachment. I did not mean the personal signatures.

in your post the following lines are in the body:

David Watson * Graduate Student * Medicinal Chemistry * 425 Faser Hall
* University MS  38677 * 1.662.915.1663

but again the list signature is an attachment. Plus, in yout post 
there is an additional attachment:smime 18.p7s if I try to open this 
it turns out to be some sort of a certificate.
