I'm using Mailsmith 
<http://www.barebones.com/products/mailsmith/> and it works just fine.

Two things to be aware of:

+   POP only, no IMAP

+   The version available on the website is ooooold, there is a
     current non-supported beta release that works much much better.

     If you decide to try it, send an email to support and ask 
for a link
     to the latest beta.
