Nice, but the trouble with MailSmith was that even it stored email
locally it refused to start up without internet connection and one
should use something else to read (an old) email offline

I am not sure that I like IMAP as implemented in MacOS 10.4. since our
mail server has few mailboxes (Inbox, mbox, Sent, SuspectedSpam and
anything I like for filtering) and on the client side I cannot specify
which of them should be synchronized; I can do it on server side)
I understand that giving too many options to the users could be
confusing for some of them but I like to have an opportunity to chose
what I like and break things accordingly to my choice :-)
