Howdy,
Please understand that there are many asynchronous events going on and
it will take some time for the dust to settle. Be patient while all of
these things come together. The WEB pages are are still in flux and
the MacTeX-2008 distribution is also slowly propagating around the
world. Waiting a day or two, well maybe up to a week for some CTAN
servers, isn't going to hurt.
