Hello,
thanks for the heads-up and the suggestions. I have one nitpick/question:

Why making it writeable by everyone? 644 is a better choice. Actually,
sudo cp TeX /etc/paths.d/
is even better, since installs it with permissions equal to 644 and the
right ownership (root:wheel) regardless.
