Did you try and remove your personal (hidden) texmf with :

rm -R ~/.texlive2009

If you didn't, why "think" this won't cure your problem ?

If you used updmap once instead of updmap-sys, you created font map files in .texlive2009 that pdftex, dvips and other programs you will always use, no matter how many times you will try and reinstall MacTex 2009.
