Howdy,

I actually like Bera Sans and Bera Mono as the Sans-Serif and Mono-Space fonts with mathpazo. I use

\usepackage[sc,osf]{mathpazo}
\linespread{1.05}        % Palatino needs more leading
\usepackage[scaled=0.87]{berasans}
\usepackage[scaled=0.87]{beramono}

Nice weight match to my eyes.
