[OS X TeX] Section head stylings

	Hi all,

A question about styling for section headers.

I have a custom-baked class for my dissertation according to my
university's style (helpfully kept by Alex Barnett, at http://math.dartmouth.edu/~ahb/thesis/format.html)
. It's nothing fancy, but it's not one of the basic or KOMA classes.

I have been using the sectsty package to make section headings in
sans-serif, but sectsty will only work with article, book, report, or
the corresponding KOMA classes.

Can anyone recommend a package that will do this (change the face of
the section headings)?

Best,
-Nathan
