By the "contract button", you mean the "expose/hide" button, correct?  
"Contract" has several meanings; I didn't find any button that let me  
make a contract with my printer :-}

FWIW, if you have the full dialog open, the PDF popup gives you the  
option to "open in Preview', in addition to other alternatives.
