Hi. I'm using emacs with AUCTeX. Whenever I type a tilde, the tilde becomes temporarily underlined, and the minibuffer displays a prompt ~[!$-.<=>?ACDNOTacdnopstux|~] If I type a dollar, the tilde is replaced by a pound sign.
