This seems to be a symptom of a rounding bug in Apple's PDF display  
code --- changing the units to PostScript Points (bp) makes the  
display match Adobe Acrobat (TeXWorks which uses Poppler doesn't show  
the error either).

Would one of the developers write this up and send it to Apple?
