[OS X TeX] Cocoaspell does not know common words

This is what I have set: Only the English dictionary checked in the CocoAspell Spelling Preference Pane, Spelling set to English(Aspell) and Word Break to English(United States, Computer) in the Language & Text Preference Pane's Text tab. 

I'm in the same state of recall. I do know that at one point I had to completely remove everything that had to do with CocoAspell (Dictionaries, Preference Pane, Receipts, etc. --- I wish I had the list but I don't remember and didn't keep a record) and re-install from scratch. Sigh...
