I'm not quite sure what Victor has in mind here, but the latest  
version of geometry allows you to change the page dimensions in the  
middle of the document using the \newgeometry and \restoregeometry  
commands.  This is what you really need to do what you want.

Whether it would be helpful to put such commands into different page  
styles is a separate issue, I think.
