[OS X TeX] Aspell local dictionaries

I am just catching up with this thread. I have had some experience troubleshooting CocoAspell (or however that's spelled) and aspell. I couldn't find a way to get it to share a dictionary with the system's installation of aspell, which I use for emacs. The configuration would change as I used one or the other spell checker, each disabling the other's capacity for adding words. I couldn't get them to to play nicely with one another, even if I used separate dictionaries. So now I just use the Apple spell check for everything I don't use aspell for, which works well. There are two word lists, but at least it's some protection against accidentally adding incorrect words to one or the other.
Anyhow, email me off-list and maybe I can help. I wouldn't want to add to the list archives with discussion of aspell, and if the problem is solved, perhaps we can post a solution.
