[OS X TeX] Cut a piece of a pdf

I often use the "Save selection to file..." feature in the Preview menu in TeXShop for my quick PDF cropping needs.  Just select the region you want cropped then pick "Save selection to file..." and choose PDF as the image type.  You'll get a nicely cropped PDF.
