[OS X TeX] Multiple fonts using otfinst

Dear Peter,

Would it be possible for you to hand-hold me (even more) through the
process? My question was how do I set up the use of multiple fonts in
a document. I have the .fd files which were generated by the
otfinst.py program, as well as the style files the program generates,
which simply allows you to write, \usepackage{minion} (for example),
to activate the fonts for a given document. I've read the minion.sty
file that otfinst.py generates, but am unsure how it all hangs
together. It uses the nfssext.sty file, which is rather complicated as
well.

To address your answers:

> \fontsize{18}{20}\selectfont

I understand both of these commands, having used fontspec and xetex a
little bit.

In this case, what does the '1' in ma1 refer to? What files are needed?

For example, the otfinst.py program outputted these .fd files for Minion:
ly1pmn0.fd, ly1pmn1.fd, ly1pmn2.fd, ly1pmnj.fd, ly1pmnx.fd,

What should I be doing with these?

Perhaps a minimal example would be helpful...?

Thanks so much!
