[OS X TeX] widows and orphans

Hi.

I'm finding that \section, \subsection, and \subsubsection allow widow and orphan lines.  Ditto with theorem-like environments created with \newtheorem (using the asmath and amsthm packages).  IOW, the last line of a unit will appear by itself at the top of a new page, or the first line will appear by itself at the bottom of the current page.

Is there some way to make this not happen?
