It appears that ZapfDingbats is hard-coded into the acrotex package as part of the pdfmark code. Open the resulting ps file in a text editor and search for ZapfDingbats. I'd say the quickest solution is to purchase the Adobe ZapfDingbats Postscript font (about $26 online.) This is not a LaTeX font issue.
