[OS X TeX] datetime v 2.57 et option french

Hi there,

I have a recent version of TeXLive (2009), which is up to date when checking using the "TeX Live Utility" application.
I have a systematic error on loading datetime.sty (v 2.57 of 2010/02/06) which is not present when I'm replacing those by previous version I have access to (2007/08/20 v2.55).

The message I get then is at the bottom of this message (using command : "xelatex -halt-on-error test-datetime-french | pbcopy")
The "interesting" excerpt is :

! LaTeX Error: Command \ordinaldatefrench already defined.
               Or name \end... illegal, see p.192 of the manual.

Is this a known bug ? Do anyone can advice me if I'd better downgrade the full package to v2.55 or just temporarily put the "old" version of datetime.sty and dt-french.def in the current working directory ?

I'm also attaching the simple source file I was using to produce this.
