Update to TeX Live 2011! It has floatflt.sty back in /usr/local/texlive/2011/texmf-dist/tex/latex/floatflt/floatflt.sty (and I also have it in /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/tex/latex/floatflt/floatflt.sty).
