I opened More Options in the OgreKit Find window, and set the Highlight Color: to bright red (not a good highlight for doing work but fine for checking the operation of OgreKit).

If I then click on the Source Window border, and go to one of the specified line numbers, I do find the sought-for word ... but it's not highlighted. Since this isn't what you expected would happen, it makes me a little suspicious of my installation.

The Source Window scrolls down (if it must), and stops at the highlighted word ... except ... it's not highlighted with the color I've specified. It's highlighted with a not-very-dark-so-therefore-not-very-noticible blue-gray background. Again ... this makes me a little suspicious of my installation.

The selection color in the Source document is set for all applications by the global setting in System Preferences->General->Highlight color:. I don't see a hidden preference for setting this separately in TeXShop. I have to admit that I've never even played with the Ogrekit setting.

But ... stumbling blindly around, I found System Preferences -> Appearance -> Highlight Color! I set it to 'Red' (which is anything *but* red ... it's more of a pathetic, wimpy coral), and now I can see the highlights that Find produces! You got me what I wanted, Herb, and I'm a *happy* boy. Thanks!

Howdy,

Been a while since I've spent time on Snow Leopard and I know that System Preferences has multiple re-arrangements between the two.

Note: that setting is global; i.e., it will be the highlight color in all apps.

Good Luck,
