[OS X TeX] destination *.fd files

Hello all,

after having successfully (!!!!) installed ubuntu 12.04, I successfully
installed Texlive 2012 on it. Finally installed the malayalam package (from
sarovar). All done and fine. I had to manually move the malayalam.sty to its
location.

All that is left: the *.fd files. where to do I move these?

(PS: when I installed this pakage on SuSE 9.3 (I know it is ancient)  everything
worked well. However, I am not using SuSE anymore due to a case of principles
and would like to stick to Ubuntu)
