Howdy,

As a side note, there is a latexmk engine (pst-pdfmk.engine --- see the information on installation and use in the documentation in ~/Library/TeXShop/Engines/Inactive/Latexmk) that does a similar thing without the use of auto-pst-pdf but you use the pst-pdf package which has its own wrappers.
