When it's intel based and has a Core 2 Duo or Core i? or Xeon CPU (64-bit) with at least 2 GB of RAM, then you can update to Snow Leopard (any intel CPU with 1 GB RAM sufficient), Lion, and Mountain Lion as well, presumingly.
