[OS X TeX] TeXLive 2012 cannot find local fonts

Howdy,

This looks like your complete ~/Library/texlive directory is owned by root and updmap still can write to it (i.e. it's trying to build the proper directory structure there and isn't being allowed to do it). I think you'll have to completely remove ~/Library/texlive and try

updmap

again. While you're in Terminal could you do 

ls -aFl ~

and 

ls -aFl ~/Library

so we can see the permissions?
