[OS X TeX] %!TEX TS-programm = pdflatex does not work in texshop

Doris,
There is a default macro to set the engine setting in the Macros menu. If it is not there,
you can regenerate the menu by temporarily moving the folder ~/Library/TeXShop/Macros to
the desktop and restarting TeXShop, although you'll have to merge in your special macros
afterward.
This macro lists engines and you pick from the list. So you get it right.
In the mail below, you spell it "programm", which would not work. Maybe that's the
mistake, but using the macro will be foolproof.
Selecting this item, of course, does not change the default preference, because it is
a selection for that particular file, not for all files in the future.
You can copy from the console provided typesetting is done, but not in the middle of a job.
Just quit the job and then copy.
