All well on Book, but took a long time to find that TexShop2012 had not been installed (?) in user Library on IMac, but replacing 2007 one from Book put that right. Now see that texmf/tex subfolders contain a lot of 2007/8 files, as does Main Library Tex/Local. Are these still operating, and if not which can be trashed? Nice to clean up, but concerned essential files for 2012 could be lost.

Howdy,

What is TeXShop2012? The MacTeX installer places TeXShop (3.11 for OS X 10.7/8, 2.47 for 10.5/6) in /Applications/TeX. Are you saying that you are seeing files from TeX Live 2007/8 mixed in with files from 2012? is that happening during a compile? Do you have ``updates'' stored in your personal tree (~/Library/texmf/... --- where ~/Library is the library folder in your HOME folder)? What is Main Library Tex/Local?

Good Luck,
