[OS X TeX] TeXLive Utility package updating problem again - with fonts?

Howdy,
I thought that it came out that by default TeX Live Utility effectively runs tlmgr us though it was being run under `sudo -H' which will NOT search your personal texmf tree.
What happens if you run
sudo tlmgr update --all
in Terminal? Note that sudo is not being run with the -H option. If that runs fine then you might try unchecking TeX Live Utility->Preferences->Install updates for all users. This should put the map files in a personal texlive tree (not your personal texmf tree) and things should work.
