Standard definitions in mhchem are

\def\sbond{{\ensuremath{-}}}
\def\dbond{%
  \rlap{\protect\raisebox{.2ex}{\sbond}}\protect\raisebox{-.2ex}{\sbond}%
}
\def\tbond{%
  \rlap{\protect\raisebox{.4ex}{\sbond}}%
  \rlap{\sbond}%
  \protect\raisebox{-.4ex}{\sbond}}%

which should work reasonably well.
