[OS X TeX] File opening bug in TeXShop 3.11

Hi all,

I'm using TeXShop 3.11 under Mountain Lion, and I see some bad behavior in one particular situation. If I use TeXShop to open a pdf file (either by double-clicking, if TeXShop is the default app for pdfs or by right-clicking or control-clicking and using the "Open With" menu), then TeXShop opens the pdf but it also opens a blank source window with the same name as the pdf. That doesn't see right. Furthermore, if I close either window, they both close, which doesn't seem right as well. Presumably this is due to some interaction with OS X's new resume feature. I don't remember exactly what the old behavior was, but this wasn't it.

I would expect TeXShop to open the corresponding tex file (e.g. if the pdf is foo.pdf and foo.tex exists in the same directory, open it) or nothing if no reasonable tex file can be found.

I noticed this because I use a custom engine that monkeys with the \jobname and when my engine opens up the pdf file created by TeX, the phantom source file also gets opened.

Chris
