[OS X TeX] TS+Full Screen (old vs new)

I have set the preview mode to Single page to view a set of beamer slides.  When I use "Enter Full Screen" (from the Window menu) I see two pages per screen, not what I want. To view single pages I must use "Full Screen (old method)", but does this mean that this method will be deprecated at some point in the future? Is it possible to view single pages under the new method? 

(I am using TS 3.12).
